Resources Carrie Hunter is member of the Board of Directors of Louisville Youth Group (LYG). LYG is a community grassroots organization that helps and supports young people by providing a safe social atmosphere for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning (LGBTQ) and supporting young people under 21. LYG collaborates with community organizations and youth service providers in training and resource development. www.louisvilleyouthgroup.com Carrie is currently the Immediate Past President of the Kentuckiana Rainbow Chamber of Commerce. http://www.kentuckianarainbowcoc.org Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, www.pflaglouisville.org, promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender persons, their families, and friends through: support, to cope with society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights. Sienna, The Louisville Gender Society, is a forum for adults living, exploring, or questioning their gender identity. 502.314.0302 www.tg-sienna.org The Letter Newspaper, www.TheLetterOnline.com, connects people, offers opinion, presents local and world news of interest to LGBT people and their allies, lists events and support/social groups, and much more. The Trevor Helpline is a nonprofit organization working for acceptance and support of GLBT teens and in the prevention of suicide by GLBT teens. www.thetrevorproject.org Common Ground is one of many groups supporting and exploring diversity at the University of Louisville.
